Full Belly Fare: Portland Personal Chef Delivery (Paleo, Keto & Gluten-free)
Sponsored Post: This post was written in exchange for product but the content and opinions expressed are my own.
I recently tried Full Belly Fare, which is a local meal delivery service. Their owner Lyla is incredibly sweet, personable and it is evident she cares about her customers and taking excellent care of them!
They offer several specific dietary options, such as keto, paleo and gluten-free menus. They also take great pride in the food they serve offering, locally sourced, organic and high quality ingredients.
I loved that everything was very well labeled and it was easy to figure out what each of us could eat. They do clearly state that cross-contamination could occur in their kitchen, so if you have severe allergies or celiac disease their services are probably not best for your needs.
We loved having such easy food options in our fridge, it fed our entire family for several days. Their services are specifically awesome for people new to living a healthy lifestyle, trying to switch to a new or different diet or for the BUSY family with dietary needs.
We were gifted the Paleo Sample Pack which included:
3-4 portions of entrees
1-2 portion of a veggie side
1-2 serving of each brunch item (1-2)
1 serving of dessert
A few of you asked how I felt about the packaging. Obviously using plastic clam shells is not my favorite, but I do understand the dilemmas to find leak-proof containers that don’t cost a lot more for the business. The owners have worked hard to address this, in using clam shells that are made from recycled plastic, which is the next best thing. Also they do offer that some dishes be delivered and provided in glass jars, which is fabulous!
Free to all of east side Portland, and much of west side Portland, Beaverton, Hillsboro, Lake Oswego, Tigard, Happy Valley, and Milwaukie. Delivery to Clark County, Gresham, Oregon City, and beyond is often also available.
All the food I was able to eat was delicious, unfortunately I got sick (from something unrelated to the food) and was unable to try everything. But my husband and kids definitely enjoyed all the meals. We did notice one mistake in our order, but when reaching out to Lyla she assured me that all the rest of the menu items were made according to our allergens, and her kindness, compassion and knowledge really gave me peace of mind.
They offer so many options, I highly recommend browsing their website to find what suits your fancy. Their menu is seasonal and changes weekly, but a few things currently on their menu that look amazing are…
Seasonal Paleo Muffins
Raw Juices + Nut Milks
